Maintenance

The TowWorks Maintenance module lets you manage your maintenance needs using work orders, issues and tasks, along with setting maintenance alerts and limits in the individual component trees. By tracking work orders, issues and tasks from the vessel to the sub-component level you have the real time and historical data you need to start proactively managing your maintenance. Set service intervals, maintenance plans and schedule overhauls based upon service hours, daily, monthly or other time-based schedules depending on manufacturer recommendations or your TSMS.

Component Trees

Create your own component trees for your equipment or use our editable pre-made component trees from our Component Library. You can track only the components you want to and add other items as they become necessary.

Component Types

Another way of filtering the data in your component trees is by the individual component type. You can filter by name, category, parent, model number, manufacturer, etc.

Maintenance Alerts

The maintenance alerts are used to let you know when a wrong answer or temperature/pressure reading is entered in the engine room log or other checklist/inspection form. You set the parameters and the system does the notifications for you. This is especially helpful on vessels with unmanned engine rooms.

Maintenance Limits

Maintenance limits are used to set service intervals, maintenance plans and schedule overhauls based upon service hours, daily, monthly or other time-based schedules depending on manufacturer recommendations or your TSMS.

Work Orders

Work orders are where you track your major jobs in TowWorks. They are primarily used for shipyard deferred repair lists, drydocking’s, over hauls and other big-ticket issues. With user defined types and priorities, managing record keeping for your projects has never been easier.

You can track and report metrics on work order types, statuses, priorities, responsible parties, locations, estimated start/completions x actual start/completions, assets, etc.

Tasks

Tasks are where your routine maintenance items like oil and filter changes, adjustments and other time or hour-based services are scheduled, assigned, tracked and closed out in the system. You create your tasks based upon manufacturer recommended service intervals or according to your TSMS. These recurring tasks are determined by the maintenance limits you set up for each component when building your component trees or they can be set up in forms as recurring tasks based upon inspections or checklists.

All work orders, issues and tasks can be filtered by vessel or equipment, responsible person, location, type of work order, issue or task, etc. so you can track and report the KPI’s and other metrics that are important to your organization internally or externally as needed.
